Wyandot County Public Health staff continues to provide up-to-date, accurate information to the community regarding COVID-19.

At the core of its mission, public health aims to prevent, promote, and protect the public's health. Though the COVID-19 public health emergency has ended, Wyandot County Public Health has maintained its efforts to PREVENT the spread of COVID-19 by providing free at-home test kits and up-to-date guidance for those who are sick, exposed to illness, or otherwise immunocompromised; PROMOTE healthy choices related to COVID-19 by sharing relevant COVID-19 information affecting our community; and to PROTECT the public against severe illness or death from COVID-19 through vaccination.

Due to the end of the public health emergency, COVID-19 vaccine costs are no longer covered by emergency funding. For most people, health insurance should cover all or most of the cost of vaccination. Individuals who are underinsured or uninsured may also qualify to receive reduced cost vaccinations.

Wyandot County Public Health staff will check insurance coverage over the phone when scheduling appointments.
